Parks Family Photography Session

at the Eno River

Many moons ago (maybe like 3 or 4) I photographed Jenna, Cece, and Donna on a whim at my sisters hair and makeup studio. She had this beautiful green chair that we placed Cece on, and anytime I visit Jenna—Cece points out to me that very photo of herself on the chair. I LOVE IT!

This year, I had the chance to actually do a proper family session with them, and oh my goodness they are the cutest family! I even had the chance to meet Jenna’s dad and photograph him with his wife Donna. These two look like high school sweethearts the way they were together. Makes my heart so happy to see them like that!

We did their family session at the beautiful Eno River, right here in Durham. It was a fantastic morning, and I am so happy with the images that we made that day. Enjoy!

Eno River Fall Family Session with the Holtz Family

We ended up putting a handful of pictures on the Thanksgiving card...It’s a true testament to your talent. I was honestly shocked we were able to make it out with more than one good one (not because of you of course, because of the toddler ‘tude that was in full force haha). There are multiple family ones we love, and I must say I’m partial to the ones at the end where Hallie was happy and hugging my neck! We thought Tucker looked so handsome as well, and we especially loved the solo one where you were able to edit his leash out! I’ll circle back with pictures of the cards for you, but I wanted to send a thank you! I know we didn’t make it easy. We’ll cherish the pictures forever!” — Tricia

I met the Holtz family this year for their fall family mini session. The Holtz family lives in Durham, so it was only fitting to do their session at the beautiful Eno River. I love how the Eno River has so many varietal backgrounds. There is the fun overgrown vegetation side of it, and then tucked within there are the beautiful tall trees with the calm river at the base.

With them included their daughter, Hallie, and sweet pup Tucker. I couldnt get over how sweet Tucker was to Hallie! Seriously! He was so calm and kind to her. Hallie seemed to have her best friend with her walking by her side. It was such a site to witness! I am so happy I was able to photograph some sweet images of their family during this time!

Jasina Family | Family Session at the Eno River in Durham

I met Olesja at one of my recent SkillPop classes this year. She was a student in my Intro to Photography class, and I was blown away at how easy and quickly she learned the content! She mentioned how for her birthday this year, all she wanted was a family session! Luckily, her family got her just that!

We met at the Eno River on what seemed like a cold day, but actually turned out to be a beautiful day with some gorgeous light shining through the leaves. I love the Eno River as it has so many fun areas to photograph in. There is the terrain that is a little overgrown, and then there is the beautiful fence that follows hikers all the way down to the river.

The Jasina family was so much fun, and I enjoyed getting to know the entire family a little bit more while photographing them. Also, shout out to Jon for catching a red-eye flight from Vegas to make this session!
