Parks Family Photography Session

at the Eno River

Many moons ago (maybe like 3 or 4) I photographed Jenna, Cece, and Donna on a whim at my sisters hair and makeup studio. She had this beautiful green chair that we placed Cece on, and anytime I visit Jenna—Cece points out to me that very photo of herself on the chair. I LOVE IT!

This year, I had the chance to actually do a proper family session with them, and oh my goodness they are the cutest family! I even had the chance to meet Jenna’s dad and photograph him with his wife Donna. These two look like high school sweethearts the way they were together. Makes my heart so happy to see them like that!

We did their family session at the beautiful Eno River, right here in Durham. It was a fantastic morning, and I am so happy with the images that we made that day. Enjoy!

Sage Farm Family Photography Session

In my hometown of Powellsville, NC

For those of you who are new around here—welcome! Although I consider myself a Durham-ite, I do have to pay tribute to my hometown located in Eastern, NC.

My sister and I have been finding ourselves home more often. I dont know about you, but whenever I go home I feel this sort of nostalgia that I cant recreate at any other place. Our hometown consists of rural farmland. The prettiest thing you could ever see coming home to your parents house is the endless amount of sage fields. Some are purple, some white, some mixed…all beautiful and quite calming as you drive by.

To document my sister and her family this year, we decided to do their annual family portraits in the sage. Absolutely gorgeous! Everyone, meet my sister, brother in law, and kids (oh, and there are some photos of our mom sprinkled in there, too!).

And while we are at it, I am going to share some more fun images we took in Grancy’s back yard! For those of you wondering, my mom Nancy, has picked her grandmother name to be Grancy. Brilliant, right? Those images will be near the bottom.

The Brown Family | Holiday Family Photos at the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill

Oh, you guys are just going to love this little family session! You may remember this family from a couple of years ago when I photographed them on Carolina’s campus. If youre interested in taking a look at it—you can find their first Fancy This family session HERE. If you are wanting to see their growing family, look no further! Their fall family session took place in Chapel Hill, NC at the NC Botanical Garden.

I love the outfit choices that they chose. They all seemed to pair perfectly with one another. The maroon color mixed with the golden yellow and even soft pink were quite a genius pairing. Their bright smiles from the tallest kid to the smallest child were just so contagious. I cant help but to smile bigger every time I look at their images.

Happy fall, Brown family! Thank you for choosing Fancy This as your go-to family photographer!
