We're Fancy This Photography, and Bridge Club is one of our absolute favorite places to photograph a wedding in downtown Raleigh.

There is really nothing else in the city quite like it. Tucked into the second and third floors of a historic bank building on Fayetteville Street, Bridge Club has the kind of atmosphere that makes couples feel like they threw the most incredible dinner party of their lives rather than a traditional wedding. High ceilings, wall-to-wall windows with sweeping views of downtown Raleigh, warm wood tones, leather couches, and food by James Beard Award winning chef Ashley Christensen. Every single detail of this space has been thought through, and that intentionality shows up in the photographs.

Bridge Club is particularly well suited for intimate weddings, typically up to 100 guests, which means the energy in the room is concentrated and real. There is nowhere to hide at a Bridge Club wedding, and honestly that is exactly why the images tend to be so good. The light from those third floor windows is extraordinary, the candlelit atmosphere during receptions is gorgeous, and the overall scale of the space means we are never far from the moment.

The venue works beautifully across seasons since it is entirely indoors, which means no weather anxiety on your wedding day. The second floor is ideal for cocktail hour and mingling, while the third floor reception space with its dramatic windows and city views is where the real magic happens after dark.

  • Yes. We have photographed weddings at Bridge Club and are familiar with the layout, the light throughout the day, and the best portrait spots both inside the venue and on the surrounding downtown Raleigh streets.

  • It is best suited for intimate celebrations, typically under 100 guests. If you are planning a smaller, more intentional wedding with exceptional food and atmosphere, it is hard to beat.
