Mayton Inn Wedding in Cary, NC | Marina & Dustin

Let me start this off by stating that the couple you are about to meet—they are my people. I met Marina & Dustin late last year when they were in town (from Vegas) visiting Marina’s side of the family. You might remember these cuties from their adorable engagement session that took place all around downtown Durham— *read: Fullsteam Brewery Engagement Session. Hello, if these two were willing to hang out with me in a bar…and they even brought their own Blink 182 t-shirts, then yes, they are definitely my people!

I enjoyed getting to know these two over the past year. I have loved their energy together, their spunk, and their just all around happiness. I learned from them of their awesome engagement story which dealt with their puppy, a random beach access that wouldnt let dogs on the premises, and the sweetest of proposals. I also learned of their love for fitness (hey @hbrosfitness) and education. The best thing about these two was that they were completely smitten with one another. There is nothing better than being with a couple who is just meant to be together.

Marina & Dustin had a sort of destination wedding. It was destination in the sense that Dustin’s side of the family either flew or drove in. They rented out the utterly gorgeous Mayton Inn in Cary, NC, and decided to have their reception there. At the start of the day Marina and her girls got ready in the sweetest of suites at the Mayton. Yall, there was a pink circle bed in this room and I about died because I wanted this thing in my house so bad! It was so much fun to see Marina with her mom and all of her girlfriends there with her to bask in the day. I remember one of Marina’s cousins almost holding back tears once she saw Marina in her dress. This is the stuff that really matters and I was just so happy that I could be present for it.

Out front of the Mayton Inn there is an awning which was perfect for their first look. At the start of the day…there was rain. But, with this awning we could still have their first look outside. It was heartwarming when I saw them together, especially Dustin’s face when he saw her for the first time. It was a great start to the day and an even better celebration when the two finally saw each other.

Marina & Dustin tied the knot at the beautiful St. Mary Magdalene Church and shuttled back to the Mayton for their reception. Cocktail hour was held outside under a tent while the final touches were set inside. Yall, when I saw the inside of the Mayton all dolled up for the reception I almost squealed. It was so modern and classy, and the results that we captured on film were some of my all time favorites. I hope you guys can agree! The rest of the night was filled was so much laughter, great music, great dessert, and some amazing dancing! See below for some pretty great dance moves. Dustin, I am looking at you.
