About The Barn of Chapel Hill at Wild Flora Farm

Kara didn’t just dream of a flower farm and floral design studio. She dreamed even bigger. The heart of her property is a stunning historic barn, originally built in 1864. She moved the barn from New York to North Carolina in 2016. Can you believe it? And that was just the beginning of this amazing Chapel Hill wedding and event venue’s story.

Kara restored the barn’s interior to host up to 200 seated guests or 250 for a cocktail-style event. We’re talking vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, French doors, warm rustic light fixtures, and so much more. This barn is a photographer’s playground. Kara, her family, and her team thought of everything for this Chapel Hill venue.

The opportunities for photos are limitless. We believe that Amanda’s seriously stunning photo shoot in April 2025 is a sign of what’s to come.
