The Wolfram Family

Raleigh, NC Family Photography

I met Jess at a local Skillpop class that I was teaching pre-pandemic. It was a Beginners Photography course. I’ve enjoyed seeing how much Jess had grown since that class. She has really honed in on her photography skills and has really blossomed into a great photographer. I am so happy for her, and feel a bit of pride since she took my very beginner course. Not only that, but shes a wonderful soul.

I was honored when Jess asked if I would photograph her family. We chose to do their session at Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh, NC. Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see the NC Symphony Orchestra playing on the lawn. Yes! The Symphony! I have never photographed a family while having classical music play in the background, and to be honest, it was quite lovely. I did not do this on purpose, but I enjoyed listening to them play while we were there.

Their family session was done in the fall, which I just adore. The fall colors and the rich greens are always my favorite parts of the season. Jess’ family fit right on in to the scenery and were so lovely to work with.

Enjoy!

An In-Home Family Photography Session

I am at a loss for words with this one. Becca, the mom that you will see shortly, outdid herself with her idea of an in-home photography session. Let me start this out by stating that Becca has turned herself from a wedding industry vendor into a friend. I have enjoyed getting to know this lady throughout the years, and even more so her family. Ironically, her husband and my husband now work together! We were meant to be friends.

This year is obviously a peculiar one. Yes, we all see and read the memes about 2020. But, instead of being upset about such a year, Becca and her family wanted to lean in to it and really document their year. You see, Becca and Jake just bought a beautiful house in Garner, and moved right in the middle of the pandemic. They have worked so hard to decorate the house and really make it something special for their kids—and they did. Just wait and see! They’ve spent long days at their new house, and already have made so many memories.

Becca and Jake wanted their family session to reflect the love that they have poured out to their girls this year. Lots of in-home playtime, an amazing front porch swing, a living room that already holds so much laughter within its walls, and the girls rooms as that is where each of the girls personalities shine. To say that this session is one of my personal favorites is an understatement.

Without further adieu— enjoy!
