How Abby & Kyle's Delightful Belhaven Wedding at River Forest Manor and Marina Made Dreams Come True

Hi everyone! Nikki here— I am a premier wedding photographer in Belhaven, NC. Today I’m excited to share my experience photographing Abby and Kyle’s wedding at River Forest Manor and Marina. This luxe wedding was held in a tented reception area, and had some really unique touches that made it stand out from the rest. When I arrived at the venue, I was blown away by the sheer beauty of this place. The views of the river and the lush greenery were absolutely stunning. The wedding party was just as beautiful as the scenery, with Abby and Kyle both looking so in love and radiant.

The first look was one of my favorite moments of the day. Watching Abby and Kyle’s reactions as they saw each other for the first time was so special and made for some truly magical photos. After the first look, we were able to capture some truly stunning photos of the couple with the gorgeous views of the river and surrounding area as the backdrop. The ceremony was held in front of the Manor and was filled with love and emotion. Abby and Kyle said their vows and sealed them with a kiss, and it was a beautiful sight to behold.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before the reception. I was able to capture some wonderful candid photos of guests catching up and celebrating. The reception was held in the tented area, and it was decorated to perfection. The reception was so much fun!

There was a Pittsburgh cookie table set up, which was a really nice surprise. The couple even brought in Abby’s grandmother’s vanity for her to use on the day of the wedding. This was a really special moment and made for some beautiful photos. At the end of the night, the couple had their last dance and said their final goodbyes. It was such a beautiful day and I am so grateful to have been able to capture it.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your Belhaven wedding, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to be a part of your special day and capture all of the beautiful memories. XO, Nikki

Caroline & Kyle’s Tryon Palace Wedding

New Bern, NC Wedding Photography

Nikki & Samantha were amazing and so talented capturing our wedding day and now I love looking back at images reliving every little moment with such overwhelming joy :)

They were both extremely easy to work with and made the experience so much fun while being organized to not miss out on any must have images. Taking pictures was a breeze since they helped to pose us and have the perfect background and angle to capture every detail! Very timely to send sneak peaks within a week after the wedding and the full gallery 7 weeks after the wedding even including a couple photo edits. They also went out of their way of to keep in touch before the wedding sending sweet small gifts and followed up after the wedding with a custom wooden picture box including a handful of print outs and a custom USB with all of our images making them so much more than another vendor but just great people who love what they do and do it well.

Their images speak for their amazing talent and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to capture any life moment!
” — Caroline, the Bride

Caroline and Kyle have this sort of classic love that shown so well on their wedding day. Samantha and I both photographed their wedding, and to say it was dreamy was an understatement. Caroline wore this classic fitted gown with a matching long cathedral veil with lace on the edges. It was the epitome of true southern charm. Kyle wore a dark suit and had the best bow tie that was actually made out of peacock feathers. Dreamy. Yes!

These two tied the knot inside the Latham Garden at the beautiful Tryon Palace in New Bern. Some of my very favorite images of all time are actually taken of these two inside this maze garden. Their wedding was full of love from all of the guests, family and bridal party. It was a true statement of how much these two were loved as there were so many guests that traveled near and far to join in on the party.

Their reception took place right on the waterfront in New Bern, NC at Persimmons Restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the scenery was chefs kiss as the sunset over the water. It was truly a site to see. My favorite part of Caroline & Kyle’s wedding was when these two arrived via a boat to their reception! The sunset was perfect, and these two looked so happy upon their arrival.

Congratulations, Caroline & Kyle! We are honored to have documented such a stunning day for you both!

Special thanks to all of the vendors involved!

Tryon Palace Bridal Session

in New Bern, NC

Get ready to swoon with excitement from this bridal session! Samantha and I had SO much fun photographing Caroline for her bridal portrait session at Tryon Palace. There are so many fun and unique places to photograph, and even better when we have a beautiful subject in front of our lens like Caroline. Some of my personal favorites are from the Latham Garden (the maze garden!), but to be honest I have been having a hard time nailing down my absolute favorites because they are all so good.

The day started out at the entrance of Tryon Palace with those large beautiful gates that lead into the Palace. Caroline wore a beautifully donned dress made by Kelly Faetanini, and purchased at the wonderful downtown New Bern bridal boutique, Thornbury Brides. Another sweet touch to the portraits—Caroline’s friend and makeup extraordinaire, Carly with Bel Fiore Beauty, did her hair and make up for the occasion.

What are your favorites?! We can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
