Katelyn & Chad

Engagement Photography at NCMA in Raleigh, NC

I adored getting to photograph Katelyn & Chad! Seriously, I could have chatted with them for ages. I kept them at their session way too long. They were dreamy to work with, but also great conversationalists!

For their engagement session we decided to go to the NCMA located in Raleigh, NC. The environment is perfect for multiple backdrop locations as you can be really artsy if you’d like, or you can keep things simple with a natural looking background. My favorite part about their engagement session is the way Chad looks at Katelyn. It’s endearing and pulls on my heart strings.

I am excited that I have the chance to photograph their wedding later this year in October. Katelyn and Chad are tying the knot at Chad’s parents home on Lake Gaston. Yall, it sounds dreamy because it is! I even get to work with my favorite planner team— C & D Events!

Enjoy!

NCMA Engagement

Raleigh, NC Engagement Photos

I had the absolute best time photographing Samantha and Juan during their engagement session. This couple was the first couple that I photographed since quarantine started, and it could not have gone any better! I surprised myself by withstanding their entire session with a mask on. Definitely weird to wear in this new state of things, but doable.

Samantha and Juan wanted to have their engagement photos done at the NCMA (North Carolina Museum of Art), and I was so happy that they did! This place is an absolute beauty. Although the inside portion of the museum is closed, their beautiful grounds are still open to the public. We started off their engagement session nearest to the mirror pond, then shifted our way to the gorgeous side entrance of the museum. Both of these areas are fantastic for images as the mirror pond reflects that big beautiful sky that was present on their day, and the side area hosted an abundance of shade for them.

After a quick outfit changed, we walked the grounds behind the museum and visited those great icons at the NCMA, like those gorgeous and massive 3 rings (also known as Gyre) and beautiful willow trees. It was a site to see and made my heart swell seeing these two together. It was a great day all around, and I am excited that I had the chance to meet such a great pair.

Congratulations, Samantha and Juan!

Oh, this engagement session was some kind of magical! I say this all the time, but I really do meet the best people! Audrey and David were such a joy to be around, and I could tell these two had some major love to go around!

We started their engagement session in downtown Raleigh in Market Square. If you have been to any weddings in that general area, you probably remember the sweet venue Market Hall. That beautiful cobblestone street that the venue sits on is exactly where we went for the first portion of their engagement session. It was beautiful, classic, and with these two in it, it made for some pretty pictures.

Later, we went over to NCMA (North Carolina Museum of Art) and basked in some of their pretty grounds. I loved the shaded areas in between the trees, but some of my favorites were right under one of their beautiful willow trees out back. It was a recipe for beautiful images, and I am glad I had the honor of photographing these two.

Congratulations, Audrey & David!
