Tyeasha & Jeff

An American Tobacco Campus Maternity Session

By the time you read this blog post, Tyeasha and Jeff have already had their sweet baby girl—Serenity! How sweet—that little girl is loved so much already.

I actually met Jeff about 2 years ago. He was a “stand in” model for my friends catering photo shoot. He played the dad to some of the neighborhood girls in the “dinner” shoot. I was so happy when his girlfriend, Tyeasha, reached out about documenting their pregnancy. They wanted something unique, a tad spicy, but most importantly—full of love. Their session took place at the beautiful American Tobacco Campus in Durham, NC.

To be honest, I am having a hard time nailing down favorites. I love the all black attire between Tyeasha and Jeff, but I also love that fuchsia that comes out in Alley 26! Oh, and the fun street wear on top of the parking deck! I am telling you, there are just so many good gems in this gallery!

Cait & Jeremy’s Maternity Session

in Durham, NC

I have met Cait on and off throughout the years as we are in the same wedding industry circle. Later on, this fabulous lady became my absolute favorite hair stylist (shout out to Bella Trio!!). Seriously, she is actually the best! So glad I get to call her mine! So dorky, I know!

She and Jeremy are expecting in November. Word on the street is that they are expecting a little girl. How sweet. Seeing these two together makes my heart happy. The way Jeremy looks at Cait is just one of the sweetest things I could ever see. They are going to be wonderful parents, and I was honored to photograph them for this special occasion.

Their session took place around sunset at the Eno River right here in Durham. You can tell the difference in light from the beginning of the session to later by the softness of it. I dont do many sunset sessions, but I was so glad to have done this one—the colors just came out beautifully on film and digital. Big high five, world!
