The Brown Family

Chapel Hill, NC Family Photography

I always look forward to this family session! Every year the Browns bring the biggest smiles, and the best outfits! Dont you agree?!

This year we decided to go back to the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, NC and explore more. This was such a great time of year to do their session (second to last week of November) because the leaves were in peak fall foliage. The oranges, yellows, and reds were just amazing to photograph. It was even better that this family was in front of my camera!

I hope you enjoy the images! To view more of this family you can find their 2019 fall family session HERE.

Let's start this off by stating that this session was one of my all time favorite family sessions this year! Everything from the outfit changes, to the best personalities trickling down from parents to the little one, it was a dream for me. I have known Jada for many years now, and it is so surreal to see her in her element, as one happy and amazing mama. I loved getting to know her family and was over the moon that I could do this session for her and her husband.

We started the session inside the beautiful archway located at Coker Arboretum in Chapel Hill, NC. I adore how whimsical this little gem is, and it just went perfect for the style and look that I was hoping to portray. We then explored the actual Coker Arboretum which held super lush greenery, and the best pops of oranges, yellows, and reds that any fall lover would fall in love with. I don't think this family could have picked better outfits to match with the environment!

With all of my family sessions I make sure to not only take images of the entire family together, but also with each grouping, like all of the siblings along with a couple of mom and dad. This way my clients can have not only a different variety, but can also use each set for different occasions--like a birthday announcement, etc. The family used some of these images for their Christmas cards, and I have to admit, this is what makes me smile the most. I normally always have a favorite image from each session, but with this one it was hard to pick just one.  Which one is your favorite?!

Chapel Hill Family Portraits | The Youngs

The Youngs! Oh my goodness, if you are ever in the need for a good wholesome laugh, just stick with this family. Their love was contagious and just made me want to have a little family for myself. Seriously, they were just great company and I can not get over how beautiful their family session turned out at Lavender Oaks Farm in Chapel Hill, NC.  If you have never seen the landscape at Lavender Oaks, make time, it is a jaw dropper and the owners are darling. You can even pick your own lavender to take home. Slap me, is this real?

With growing kids about to leave the house shortly, this is prime time to photograph your family. I am so glad Maria reached out to me about documenting them, this is such a wonderful time for everyone. We did a joint session with Gabby starting the day for her senior portraits, then waited out a little bit of a storm, then photographed the family. I love doing sessions like this because one, everyone can be there for the session, and two, you can set aside one day instead of two to create portraits.

Also, how fun are they?!
