Caitlin & Keith

A couples session on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Caitlin and I went to photography school together. Well, we kind of did. Caitlin was in the class that came after me and to be honest we never really hung out. After she and I had both graduated, I found out that she lived near me in Durham, NC. That is when we started to officially become friends, and I am so glad we did!

Caitlin has since moved to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Ironically, I was in town for a few days and knew if there was ever a chance of me finally meeting her boyfriend—this was it! What better way is there for photographers to hang out? We met up at Graveyard Fields and had a blast photographing one another. That is how these photos came to the surface. A love affair with my friends. And now, Keith is my friend, too.

P.S. Later on that night we ate at this amazing sushi restaurant in Asheville called Wasabi. Please, check it out.

Jayme and Elliott | Asheville, NC Engagement

Let me just start this out by saying that I think I may be the one that fell in love with Jayme. Not even kidding, I think the world of Jayme and am completely smitten that we are working together in anticipation of her and Elliott's wedding! Gah, I have the best clients in the world!

Earlier this year Elliott took Jayme to the one place that she'd always wanted to go and relax for the weekend; The Omni Grove Park Inn. It is this magical hotel that has huge firepits, an amazing sunset view, and the best view of downtown Asheville anyone could ever dream of! He proposed on one of their terraces, and the rest is history. So romantic, right?! It was only fitting that we go back and revisit the one place that they cherish so deeply.

We started off the day with a walk around their golf course, then scurried inside just in time for some much needed coffee (if you know me, you know I like to start sessions early!). We sat outside and took in the view, and I could only imagine how these two felt during that time. What a treat to go back, it was a beautiful day and I had gorgeous subjects in front of my lens.

After adventuring the hotel, we hopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway and found the prettiest little outlook with gorgeous mountains to boot. Below, please find some of my favorite images from our time there!
