Christy & Matthew are Engaged!

I have to admit, the way Christy and I met was a bit out of the ordinary. You see, her grandmother is the next door neighbor to my father-in-laws. I met Christy while my father-in-laws were filming for their episode on Love It or List It. Yes, you read that right. Christy and I were sitting at the dining room table (before it was “re-done”) and we can be found on that episode for approximately half a second long. That was the exact day I met her. At the time, she was getting ready to attend ECU. Now, she’s an ECU grad and back living in our great city of Durham!

I loved having the chance to photograph both Christy and Matthew. They were loads of fun, had great conversation, and were just the sweetest couple to be around that morning. It was a beautiful summer day, and we even had the chance to pop up to the top of a parking deck to photograph them with the Durham skyline. Lucky us, Leland Little Auctions was up there at the exact same time and let us use one of their cars for the shoot. It was a fun day, and I am happy to see them marry one another next year for their wedding at The Cloth Mill!
