Engagement Session on NC State’s Campus and James B. Hunt Jr. Library

This engagement session really hits close to home. As a photographer, it is such a gift that I can give images to couples to have for years to come. As a friend to this couple, I feel a different kind of honored to be able to serve them and be their wedding photographer later this Fall.

Sam & Dee met online, and I think Samantha knew from the beginning that this guy would be the one. I remember the first time I met Dee. Our trio of gal pals (myself, Jessie, and Sam) were in Wilmington and were meeting a guy that Sam had been seeing for only a short while. From meeting Dee that first night—Jessie and I both knew that he was going to have a very special place in our dear friend, Samantha’s, heart. We were absolutely right, and we are so thankful for that. Sam, our dearest friend, deserves Dee and the same for him. It has been magical to see these two blossom with the time that they have been together.

The best part about this couple is their love for our wonderful Wolfpack NATION! Yes, we have all graduated from NC State and we wanted to continue this love by doing their engagement session on our Alma Maters grounds. We started off the day at the Court of the Carolinas basking in some beautiful landscape (hello, Sam and I love horticulture!). This was a nice start to the day, and brought back some old and favorite memories from going to school there.

Later, we headed over to Centennial Campus and finished off the latter part of their session at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library! Yall! This place was magical and fit these two perfectly. Sam is a teacher and Dee is a lover of all things tech. This place = Heaven. Have you been to see the robot that finds any book that you are looking for? Why wasnt this place a thing while we were in school?!

I am very excited to share these photos with you. However, I am even more excited to photograph my dear sweet friends wedding this November!
