Ayisha & Dan | Pittsboro, NC Engagement Session

Oh, man! When the stars align for us they REALLY make a difference! I think I have fallen in love with this couple, and even their dog Babs! I could tell from the moment Ayisha and I had our initial phone call that Fancy This would be a great match and style for one another. Later, when I met her fiance Dan and pup Babs, I knew that it was in fact meant to be.

Ayisha and Dan live in DC, and are marrying this April in Siler City, NC. It is considered much of a destination wedding since alot of their friends and family will be coming in from out of town to celebrate with them. These are the best kinds of weddings in my personal opinion as it is so emotional to see all of the couples friends and families in one place at this exact time. It will be a good feeling to experience this with them soon.

For their engagement session they decided to have it in Pittsboro, NC, at Ayisha’s moms house. I have to admit, when I drove up and saw the gorgeous land that this house was sitting on I just about died out of pure excitement. This house, which happened to have the cutest purple door, is nestled on a dirt path road off in the distance of the countryside in Pittsboro. There was so much tall grass, a pond near the property, OH AND OH MY GOD THERE WAS AN AIRSTREAM IN THE BACKYARD! Side note, I have wanted to photograph a couple with an air stream for YEARS yall, and it finally happened on a whim with Ayisha and Dan. Dreams were made on this day, not only for this sweet couple, but also for myself.

Some of my favorite images from the day included some in the field with Ayisha’s red dress on. The ones with Babs in the frame are even better. Later on in the session is when the real magic happened. The sun was nestled right over the horizon which gave us that gorgeous golden hour light. I love how that light kissed the couple in each frame, and made this cold February day a bit warmer.

Congratulations, Ayisha, Dan, and Babs! I am so excited for April!
